Bichon Frise Dog Cancer Therapy May Lead to Humans

The American Chemical Society held their nation meeting recently and presented a study where a new compound was discovered that delivers cancer-killing molecules via vitamin B12 receptors dramatically reduced the size of tumors present in three dogs of which one is a Bichon Frise.
The 10 year old Bichon Frise with anal sac adenocarcinoma was amongst the dogs and was given a 28 mg/kg dose of the drug twice a day and had a 43% reduction of the primary tumor and a 90% reduction of lymph node tumor after just 15 months.
