Bichon Frise Wins Best-in-Show!

We have been receiving a lot of comments from visitors to this website saying they would like to read more information about “JR” the Bichon Frise winning Best in Show at Westminster Kennel Club in 2001 and can share a bit of information below.
JR, who goes by the name Champion Special Times Just Right!, was top dog at the world’s most prestigious dog fest, the Westminster Kennel Club show in Madison Square Garden in New York, where the three-year-old 15-pound Bichon Frise won the coveted best-in-show title.
Scott Sommers, a Houston professional dog handler and part owner of JR, says he is greeted with a big smile every morning from his Bichon Frise. When the judge named JR the winner for 2001, the Bichon ran around the garden waving to the crowd. “When he’s happy, that’s just one of the things he likes to do,” Sommer said.
